Henry, aka payne, hated CS at first and did not see what the point of playing it's. However after playing Max Payne, he was hooked on the rush of FPS and gave CS a second chance and took the game more seriously. Wilson, aka Pig, began playing CS around an identical time. He, like Payne, was into RTS and RPGs prior to CS. He took on the handle ‘The Pig’ after playing Stronghold, an RTS game. The Stronghold character ‘The Pig’ was known for his brute force and rushing style in Stronghold which Wilson later adapted and emulated in his CS game play. About 5 years ago, they played on 600mHz IBM T20 thinkpads with 8mB video cards, however even with such poor equipment, they developed top CS skills in a small number of months by playing daily with CAL-I clan players (E=MC2) in their server until their skills eventually matched and exceeded a number of the E=MC2 clan members. They were then invited to join E=MC2 however the invitation later created a tiny portion in under the clan that eventually led to the clan being disbanded. A number of members welcomed them, others thought Pig and Payne used cheats and banned them several times prior to the clan leader unbanned them, a number of members didn’t care, and others claimed they only didn’t desire any new members outside of Boston in the clan. After the demise of the clan, Pig and Payne began playing in separate servers. They were invited to several clans and asked to provide techniques on the way to boost others CS skills. Prior to the Counter-Strike Pwnage ebook, Pig and Payne gave Counter-Strike lessons to those dedicated enough to become better in their gaming. That was when World of Pwnage was created.
